2010 George Seurat at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt - 1 night

Dates: 04th Feb. - 09th May 2010 from Friday - Sunday(except during major trade fairs)

Registration deadline: 14 days prior to arrival

George Seurat, the famous French neo-impressionist, is today considered to be one of the icons of 19th-century art and the most important exponent of Pointillism, a style of painting developed by the artist himself. With this exhibition, the SCHIRN draws attention to Seurat’s impressive figure paintings. Thanks to his innovative compositions and new painting technique, Seurat helped to smooth the way for impressionists going from the 19th to the 20th century. The SCHIRN now presents the first comprehensive Seurat exhibition on German soil for many decades.
